California CCW Permit Courses

CCW Permit Instruction is now offering Courses to obtain a California CCW Permit for residents of Orange County, Ventura County, Fresno County, and Madera County.

Orange County residents must complete either an 8-Hour CCW Permit Instruction Course, or a 16-Hour CCW Permit Instruction Course, each of which includes classroom instruction and “Live Fire.” Students must also pass a written exam, and qualify on the range in order to successfully complete the course.

Our California CCW Permit Training Courses are built around the NRA Home Personal Protection Outside The Home program. This program is recognized nationwide as the premier program for teaching Concealed Carry Weapon skills.

Each student will be provided with a copy of the NRA Guide to the Basics Of Personal Protection Outside The Home that will be covered with live instruction and a Power Point presentation.

This book will also be the basis of covering the Federal laws that pertain to Concealed Carry Weapons.

The primary learning objectives are as follows:

  • Each student must understand and demonstrate to the Instructor that they have adequate knowledge of handgun safety, including handling, disassembly, cleaning, assembly and storage.
  • Each student must understand and demonstrate to the Instructor adequate knowledge of the equipment and techniques to safely carry a concealed handgun, retain control of a concealed weapon and avoid unwarranted detection of weapons by the casual observer.
